Khushwant Singh is a renowned writer and an alumnus of St. John’s High School, Chandigarh and Department of Mass Communication, Punjab University. He delved into writing to give farmers a voice in mainstream media. His journey with words, however, saw him experimenting with other genres, including the Punjabi diaspora. 9\11 changed the course of his writing when his inbox would get flooded with stories of hate crimes against Sikhs. He published his first book, Sikhs Unlimited, in 2007. He has also written for the Times of India, the Tribune, BBC Online and India Today. He is currently working on his most ambitious project, yet, the authorized biography of Maharaja Amarinder Singh, former chief minister of Punjab.
