We live in a world where we all aspire to be at the top of our game. I know so many people who aspire to be the next David Beckham, Richard Branson or Laxmi Mittal.

This is certainly not an easy task and more and more people think that achieving such status and money in life is often pretty easy. However each successful person can confirm that it’s about striking the ‘right balance.’ It’s vital to ensure that you are able to enjoy your life and not just spend time in the office slumped over a computer for 12 hours of the day.

Today, we are talking about the inspirational journey of a man who came to the UK. Like so many, it was nice to focus on the aspect of ‘giving back to the community.’

People can become so focused on buying the latest watch, car, private jet or villa, that they can often forget that happiness is also entwined with the concept of giving to those who are less fortunate than yourself.

Did you know Bill Gates has given $28 Billion to charity over the years from his enormous fortune from Microsoft.

More surprisingly, it may shock you to know that party animal Justin Beiber who is known for his partying is not given enough credit for the amount of charitable work he does. Justin Beiber is known for his dedication to Pencils of Promise. He also started the Believe Charity Drive, which raised money from fans and album sales to give to the seven charities that he supports — Pencils of Promise, Project Medishare for Haiti, City of Hope, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Boys & Girls Club of America, Musicians on Call and the GRAMMY Foundation. On his 17th and 18th birthdays, Justin asked for a birthday gift that would help the world — he asked for fans to help bring clean water to those in need by donating to his charity Charity Water. Just this past year, Justin donated $1 from every ticket sold in the New York City/New Jersey area to Hurricane Sandy relief. Justin never stops giving. He’s also helped donate and support his hometown food bank, Children’s Miracle Network, and he even helped an Ottawa-based fan find an organ donor via Twitter. Justin is one guy who remembers where he came from and uses his voice to make a change.

It is actually refreshing to see that such prominent people are doing so much for others despite having achieved so much. I sincerely hope this continues for generations to come.
