Aakash Odedra is one of the hottest rising stars in British dance. Trained initially in classical Indian dance forms Kathak and Bharat Natyam, Aakash has since gone on to perform more contemporary pieces, creating a niche for himself within the dancing circuit. He has worked with renowned choreographers Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Russell Maliphant and his mentor Akram Khan and has been honoured with numerous awards and bursaries including a development grant by Arts Council England and  the Sky Academy Arts Scholarship last year. His latest work Murmur, which premiered on May 6 as part of the International Dance Festival Birmingham, takes inspiration from his own battle with dyslexia.
